Privacy and data handling
What is processed
ChatLore processes the conversations you upload, participant names, report settings and notes, generated reports and limited technical data needed to operate the service.
Where processing happens
ChatLore stores your uploaded conversation on its server. When you request an AI report, conversation content is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the configured AI provider. Hosting is provided by Render. External providers apply their own data-handling and retention terms.
Access and sharing
Your private report is available in the browser that uploaded the conversation. There is no account recovery or emailed delivery in this release. Anyone with a share link you explicitly create can read that report, including names and quoted messages; the full conversation is not included in the shared page.
Retention and deletion
Your browser access session lasts up to 30 days. Expired sessions and their conversations, reports and source-derived checkpoints are removed during the next cleanup. Clear the upload to remove them sooner. Closing a tab does not delete your data. Raw upload files are discarded after successful validation. A separate usage ledger retains amounts, request states and pseudonymous identifiers to prevent duplicate or excessive AI charges; it does not contain your conversation text. Hosting backups and AI provider retention are separate from application deletion.
Cookies and security
A secure browser cookie identifies your upload session. Access controls isolate private conversations by session. Do not share your browser session cookie. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Before uploading
Upload conversations only when you are allowed to use them and consider the privacy of everyone involved. Remove information you do not want processed externally. This release does not promise specific provider training, geographic storage or legal compliance guarantees.

The contact form is not connected to an inbox in this release. It does not deliver support requests. Do not submit sensitive information through that form.
